洪 民憙 (Hong Minhee)

Hello! I'm Hong Minhee (洪 民憙), an open source software engineer in my late 30s, living in Seoul, Korea. I'm bisexual and non-binary (they/them), and an enthusiastic advocate of free/open source software and the fediverse.

I work full-time on @fedify, an ActivityPub server framework in TypeScript, funded by @sovtechfund. I'm also the creator of @hollo, a single-user ActivityPub microblog; @botkit, an ActivityPub bot framework; Hackers' Pub, a fediverse platform for software developers; and LogTape, a logging library for JavaScript and TypeScript.

I have a long interest in East Asian languages (CJK) and Unicode. I post mostly in English here, though occasionally in Japanese or in mixed-script Korean (國漢文混用體), a traditional writing style that interleaves Chinese characters with the native Korean alphabet. Wanting to write in that style was actually one of the reasons I joined the fediverse. Feel free to talk to me in English, Korean, Japanese, or even Literary Chinese!

STF（@sovtechfund）の支援を受け、TypeScript用ActivityPubサーバーフレームワーク「@fedify」の開発に専念しています。他にも、おひとり様向けのActivityPubマイクロブログ「@hollo」、ActivityPubボットフレームワーク「@botkit」、ソフトウェア開発者向けフェディバースプラットフォームHackers' Pub、JavaScript・TypeScript用ロギングライブラリLogTapeなどの制作者でもあります。

東アジア言語（いわゆるCJK）とUnicodeにも興味があります。このアカウントでは主に英語で投稿していますが、時々日本語や国漢文混用体（漢字ハングル混じり文）の韓国語でも書いています。実はこの文体で書きたくてフェディバースを始めた、という経緯もあります。日本語、英語、韓国語、漢文でも気軽に話しかけてください！

@notolyte 90年代(연대)에도 略字(약자)는 꽤 썼던 것 같아요. 어떤 單語(단어)를 漢字(한자)로 表記(표기)하느냐는 別(별) 基準(기준)이 없고, 現代(현대) 日本語(일본어)에서 片假名(가타카나)로 特定(특정) 키워드를 強調(강조)하는 것처럼 漢字(한자)를 쓴 것 같다는 생각도 듭니다.

@notolyte 저도 日本(일본)에서 ministry를 部(부)나 廳(청)으로 부르지 않고 省(성)이라고 부르는 건 前(전)부터 理由(이유)가 궁금했어요.

日本이 ministry를 部가 아니라 省이라고 일컫는 것은 생각 보면 좀 신기해요. 아마 律令시대의 二官八省에 유래한단데 二官八省도 唐의 六部를 참고했을 것이고 그러면 문제는 왜 律令시대 日本 官人은 部를 省이라고 바꿔 말했느냐 하는 것이 돼요.

@robin_maki 저도 手足冷症(수족냉증)인데… 살이 좀 찌니까 그나마 若干(약간)은 나아지더라고요.

Currently, I'm running the hollo.social server on my home Mac mini, and I'm running PostgreSQL in a Docker container, but I'm also considering pulling PostgreSQL out of the container to run other services that need to use PostgreSQL on my Mac mini.

Have any of you ever run only the RDBMS outside of a container like this?

現在(현재) hollo.social 서버를 집에 있는 Mac mini에서 돌리고 있는데, 只今(지금)은 PostgreSQL을 Docker 컨테이너 안에서 돌리고 있지만, PostgreSQL을 써야 하는 다른 서비스들도 Mac mini에서 돌리려면 PostgreSQL만은 컨테이너 밖으로 빼는 게 낫겠다는 생각도 든다.

或是(혹시) 이런 式(식)으로 RDBMS만 컨테이너 밖에서 따로 運營(운영)해 본 적 있으신 분 계신가요?

韓国の面白い略語の中に「圖」(図)を簡略化した「⿴囗도」が有ります。「도」は「図」の韓国語の読み方。

I also want to mention that FediDB uses a well defined User Agent, and does not try to bypass limits with remote crawlers or any other means.

I understand there was a disagreement with myself and GtS regarding robots.txt, however, I always meant to add support for them, so I am doing that now.

The crawler page will be updated with instructions on how to block the crawler once that is ready.

Adding robots.txt support to FediDB, if you want to block FediDB from crawling your instance, please add a disallow rule to the ./well-known endpoint like GtS is doing.

@hongminhee 日本でよく使われていた (過去形) アーカイバのLHAが、凍結 (圧縮) と解凍 (展開) の2語を使っていたのが由来かと

@hongminhee そうですね。日本も同じで過去に遡って、エンコードを変えようとする人が少ないや、下手するとアクセス権がないとか、死亡しているとか、いろいろあります。無料webはだいぶんとなくなりましたが。
