洪 民憙 (Hong Minhee)

Hello! I'm Hong Minhee (洪 民憙), an open source software engineer in my late 30s, living in Seoul, Korea. I'm bisexual and non-binary (they/them), and an enthusiastic advocate of free/open source software and the fediverse.

I work full-time on @fedify, an ActivityPub server framework in TypeScript, funded by @sovtechfund. I'm also the creator of @hollo, a single-user ActivityPub microblog; @botkit, an ActivityPub bot framework; Hackers' Pub, a fediverse platform for software developers; and LogTape, a logging library for JavaScript and TypeScript.

I have a long interest in East Asian languages (CJK) and Unicode. I post mostly in English here, though occasionally in Japanese or in mixed-script Korean (國漢文混用體), a traditional writing style that interleaves Chinese characters with the native Korean alphabet. Wanting to write in that style was actually one of the reasons I joined the fediverse. Feel free to talk to me in English, Korean, Japanese, or even Literary Chinese!

STF（@sovtechfund）の支援を受け、TypeScript用ActivityPubサーバーフレームワーク「@fedify」の開発に専念しています。他にも、おひとり様向けのActivityPubマイクロブログ「@hollo」、ActivityPubボットフレームワーク「@botkit」、ソフトウェア開発者向けフェディバースプラットフォームHackers' Pub、JavaScript・TypeScript用ロギングライブラリLogTapeなどの制作者でもあります。

東アジア言語（いわゆるCJK）とUnicodeにも興味があります。このアカウントでは主に英語で投稿していますが、時々日本語や国漢文混用体（漢字ハングル混じり文）の韓国語でも書いています。実はこの文体で書きたくてフェディバースを始めた、という経緯もあります。日本語、英語、韓国語、漢文でも気軽に話しかけてください！

それを考え始めると対象のサーバの管理者が信用できない時点で同じ話だし、そもそも一般ユーザからのフォローを通すときにもより厳格な検証をしているべきなのであれだけど

プロクシアカウントに扮したアカウントでフォローして非公開投稿を読もうとする攻撃者に対する対策が今のところモデレーションくらいしかなさそうなのも個人的な微妙ポイントである

🐧 3일차 피드백 1. 많은 분들이 말씀해 주신 브릿지 계정을 팔로우했습니다. 마스토돈에 계정이 생성됐고, 10시30분에 올린 게시물이 이동된 것도 확인했습니다. 미스키 쪽은 아직 확인을 못했는데, 보시면 제보 부탁드립니다. 2. 타 플랫폼에서는 독자와의 소통을 위해 팔로우를 맺고 있는데, 블루스카이는 블언블이 되지 않아 이것이 부담스럽다고 하시는 분들도 있어 일단은 맞팔하지 않고 있습니다. 조심스럽게 다가가겠습니다.

오늘도 hackerspub에 기여할만한거 작업했다. 굿.

@cheesekun 저는 둘 다 쓰다가 iOS에서 사진 데이터를 iCloud에 오프로드하는 기능을 켜면 Google Photos 동기화가 자꾸 오프로드된 사진을 로드하느라 셀룰러 데이터를 엄청 써서 결국 Google Photos는 포기했어요.

I wish there is a modern #GNOME email client app implemented with GTK 4 + libadwaita. Although Envelope looks promising, it is still in the early stage of development and is not ready for use.

그다지 重要(중요)한 얘기는 아니지만, “polyglot”, “monoglot” 같은 말이 모두 希臘語(희랍어)에서 온 것을 考慮(고려)하면, 라틴語(어), 궁극적으로는 아랍語(어)에서 온 “zero”보다는 希臘語(희랍어)에서 온 接頭辭(접두사)인 “a-”를 붙여 “aglot”이라는 말을 쓰는 게 좀 더 自然(자연)스러울 것 같네요! (實際(실제)로 쓰는 말 같진 않습니다만…)

I never understood what Mastodon is doing with followers-only replies. It's just nonsense.
I initially only allowed DM replies to followers-only posts, and recently switched to "conversation" visibility where replies inherit audience of parent post (idea stolen from Streams/Hubzilla).

The web interface of the fedify inbox command has been slightly updated. This change will be included in the next minor release, Fedify 1.5.0.

FediDB has restored GotoSocial, and reset all known servers to a discovery state where we first check robots.txt

The counters and graphs may take a few days to return to normal once the various jobs run again.

Today's my work on #Fedify: Support PEM-PKCS#1 besides PEM-SPKI for RSA public keys.

Although the vast majority of ActivityPub software encodes RSA public keys in PEM-SPKI format, some software encodes RSA public keys in PEM-PKCS#1 format (see: https://github.com/fedify-dev/hollo/pull/109#issuecomment-2662591619). Fedify currently only accepts PEM-SPKI format, so it needs to accept PEM-PKCS#1 format as well for better interoperability.
