Hello, I'm an open source software engineer in my late 30s living in #Seoul, #Korea, and an avid advocate of #FLOSS and the #fediverse.

I'm the creator of @fedify, an #ActivityPub server framework in #TypeScript, @hollo, an ActivityPub-enabled microblogging software for single users, and @botkit, a simple ActivityPub bot framework.

一般的なMastodonボットとは異なり、BotKitで作成したボットは、プラットフォームの制約なく完全に独立して動作するFediverseボットです。シンプルで直感的なAPIにより、TypeScriptファイル1つでボットを作成できます。

Do we need a dedicated fedi account for BotKit?

I feel like this is part of what makes @fedify one of the most important fediverse projects at the moment - it aims to keep everyone from having to do the same, overly complicated job of activitypub integration over and over and over again.

It's frustration that nobody wants to dig into old code, but I get frustrated having to re-work my own code from a year ago. So I guess I sympathize.

The English words 'no' and 'no' don't share a common ancestor. 'No', the opposite of 'yes', comes from Proto-West-Germanic *naiw (never), while 'no' as in 'no pain, no gain' comes from *nain (not any): it arose as a variant of 'none'.

'No' as opposed to 'yes' isn't related to German 'nein' and Dutch 'nee' either. Their only common part is 'n-', which comes from the Germanic negation particle *ne, also found in words such as 'not', 'neither' and 'never'.
