Hello, I'm an open source software engineer in my late 30s living in #Seoul, #Korea, and an avid advocate of #FLOSS and the #fediverse.

I'm the creator of @fedify, an #ActivityPub server framework in #TypeScript, @hollo, an ActivityPub-enabled microblogging software for single users, and @botkit, a simple ActivityPub bot framework.

I get why something like that would be implemented from a privacy perspective, but randomizing it is by far the worst approach as (like you have just shown) it manipulates legitimate fediverse statistics tools.

In my opinion, it would make far more sense to either report all of the counts as 0 or simply return a 403 Forbidden response.

@me CDN 업체들에서 많이들 쓰는 방식 같아요. 저도 예전에 CDN 업체에 다닌 적 있는데, 거기서도 에지 서버에 공항 IATA 코드로 이름 붙였었어요.

Multibaseとかいうやつ、要はbase32やbase36、base64、base58とか色んな基数と文字集合の変種があるからそれらに識別子を振って全てサポートできるようにしよう仕組みで、それ下流の仕様でちゃんと書式をただ一つに指定できていたら不要な仕組みだったのではと思ってしまう

@cocoa_vrc GoogleのRE2はThompson NFAベースなので、PCRE等に比べて速いのは当然ですね。

@silverpill @helge @licho Fedify (which I created) started with JSON-LD-first approach, and yes, I somewhat regretted it. 😂

Being a polyglot may mean that you are not fluent in any language.

@cheeaun Yeah, actually, tagging a whole post content with a language is a part of Activity Streams specification. (Activity Streams allows a single post can contains multiple contents, which allow to consist of multiple languages though.)

日本語版Windowsでバックスラッシュ（\）を円記号（¥）で表示するのと同様に、韓国語版Windowsでもバックスラッシュをウォン記号（₩）で表示します。
