My stance on #ActivityPub's adoption of JSON-LD: Since we've already decided to use JSON-LD, I hope we do it properly. However, if we hadn't used JSON-LD from the beginning, things would have been much less complicated.

@hongminhee It's not too late to recommend using another format and let ap server handle use negociation. My own server handle rdf+xml, turtle and json-ld, but for json-ld I had to map to the "json-ld" of mastodon (mastodon does not handle json-ld, it does not even load contexts).

@hongminhee Well, most implementers decided to use JSON instead.
So things are already much less complicated than they could be
