@jkb I'm not entirely sure about North America, but in East Asia—at least in Korea—generative AI is already being used a lot in the arts and commercial advertising, and it seems like typical office workers are using LLMs quite a bit as well.

@hongminhee Can't speak for everyone, obviously, but in the office I am working on the dependency on LLMs for pretty much anything is concerning. Even web searches are offloaded to these text-extruders now, and we have an "AI Adoption Expert" on site whose whole job is to make sure we get even more dependent on LLMs.
There's quite some resistance in the arts space. I see obviously generated images used for casual stuff for which no actual artists would have been hired anyway (think "poster for the end of year party of the local elementary school"), but thankfully the bar is still set higher for commercial advertising.
