@darth_anxious Starting with Mastodon 4.3.0, the <ruby> tag is now supported. Of course, writing <ruby> tags directly in Mastodon still isn't allowed, but posts containing <ruby> tags created by compatible software like @hollo can now be properly rendered!

I'm working on implementing #26592, so far I've just focused on the "getting the tags kept", I haven't yet tested how these display in the web UI.
