HolloはこれからはRedisが無くても動作する様に成りました。REDIS_URL環境変数を提供する場合はRedisをキャッシュとキューのバックエンドとして使いますが、提供されない場合はメモリにキャッシュしてキュー無しで動作します。フォローや フォロワーが少ない場合、考えてみる選択肢です。
