@ivory, removing bookmarks seems to be no longer synched between the iOS and macOS version of #Ivory? When I remove a bookmark on my iPad it's still there a couple of days later on my Mac...

Does anyone know why #ivory doesn’t format YouTube links with their corresponding thumbnails and description? Is it related to their YouTube.be link shortening?

Let my @ivory subscription expire on March 1. After using other #Mastodon apps, I might have to reconsider. We also got an update after ~5 months w/ more to come while they work on #Phoenix for #Bluesky.

"Support for AlphaNumeric Post IDs"

Does this mean full #GoToSocial support? Am I missing something? Is it even related?

(Considering to set up my own instance with having quasi-none knowledge, but the lack of Ivory's support was keeping me from even starting...)

@klackerturm Ach schau mal. Sie setzen also auch auf Bluesky. Jetzt weiß ich auch warum so lange das Update von #Ivory auf sich warten ließ. Kann Sie ja auch verstehen. Von Luft und Liebe kann man nicht leben. Bin dann mal gespannt was die App für Bluesky kosten wird.

Ich dachte, langsamer kann man #Ivory schon jetzt nicht mehr entwickeln.

@macrumors I'm rooting for the guys behind @ivory because #ivory is a great app I'm happy to pay for, but my crowd is here.

I have an audio recording I'd like to post to Mastodon. It comes from Apple's Voice Memos app, and its file extension is "m4a". #Ivory doesn't seem to want to do it. Should I try the web interface? Convert the file to something else? Upload it to YouTube?

Is anybody else using @ivory having to constantly reset their account cache to get their home timeline to update??? I've had to do it on all my devices just about every day this week. 🤔

@ivory I remember getting rate-limited on the website in the past and it wasn’t a big deal but I can understand the reasoning.
Maybe some special setting somewhere so the user could choose to propagate all calls immediately?
Or could the streaming API of the website be implemented in #Ivory as well?

@ivory This is still happening with the latest version. Before #Ivory would show the toot I just composed, I was able to open a new tab in my browser, navigate to my instance and read the too there. All while Ivory was still acting like there are no fresh toots to show. After another minute it magically appeared when I tried refreshing for the 10th time 😂

This seems to be a bug.

If I am making a poll and add another item but decide I don't actually need another option in the poll, there's no way to delete the blank one.

I can't post with a blank option. The only way around this is to delete an option that's already populated and re-enter text that option in the blank slot.

I'm trying to do a #regex filter to remove German posts from my timeline.

Unfortunately, it looks like #ivory is picking up posts in other languages. Strangely, if I test my expression with regex101, it does not seem to pick up the 2 problematic posts.

I’m using #ivory - but doesn’t appear to let me. Good to know it’s possible, so hopefully on their roadmap.

@_elena it's my understanding that #ivory doesn't play nice with #GoToSocial. It's not that it's self hosted but that ivory is looking for extra info that GtS doesn't yet support from the Mastodon API. I've found a couple of apps that can't work with GtS. 😒 Thier loss as GtS is fab

For those who want to use #Hollo on @ivory: #Ivory evolved from the Tweetbot codebase, which was a third-party Twitter client, so it assumes that object IDs are integers. Hollo uses UUIDs for object IDs, so it can't be used with Ivory at this time. We hope that Ivory will support non-integer object IDs in the future!

@ivory What is the state of the hard-coded 500 chars in #Ivory? I was experimenting with #SkyBridge and came across an issue on GitHub that the limit is not actually pulled from the instance?

1. Back to #Ivory for another year. $24.99 combined for a solid macOS and iOS app is hard to pass up. Didn't see any alternatives that did both well.
2. Squarespace stacked up better than I thought for my “professional” site and migrating to something new is a chore so staying with it.
3. Two different instances of WordPress I need to fiddle with.
4. Car registration - $74.50 if I had an EV it would be $200/yr on top of $400 the 1st time. $7 inspection.

There’s been speculation that this might be a test to see if absence of third-party #Twitter apps affects engagement. But it doesn’t matter anymore. We’re watching the developers react in real-time on a competing platform. Their trust in Twitter is gone. Their customers’ trust in Twitter is gone. And they’re more loyal to the developers than they ever were to Twitter. API usage could have been a feature of Blue. But now people are lining up to pay for #Ivory, #Mammoth, #Mona, etc.—not Twitter.

Oh wow #Ivory 2.0 really made the media attachments into a carousel UI for post details screen.

Hello, Mastodon! I love being here! I'm one of the recent newcomers from #Twitter, and I'm really impressed by the quality, stability, and functionality of emerging custom Mastodon apps, like #Ivory and #IceCubes, which I have started using recently on my #iPhone 14 Pro Max! It's also great that I don't have to turn on my Dutch VPN server connection to use international Mastodon instances, like I had to with Twitter due to local laws regarding Western propaganda.
